Driven by our desire to provide quality patient care, excellent service, and state-of-the-art diagnostic technology, OrthoMemphis is pleased to offer MRI services for patients of our clinic. Our MRI magnet is a High Field MR scanner and was the first High Definition scanner in Memphis. Additionally, our MRI is the only free-standing facility in Memphis that provides cartilage-mapping studies. Orthomemphis’ MRI has been accredited by the American College of Radiology, which is the premier accrediting body for specialized diagnostic equipment, particularly at the nation’s leading hospitals.
MRI is short for Magnetic Resonance Imaging and is an advanced technology that allows doctors to see muscles, joints, tumors, areas of infection, and more – without x-rays, surgery, or pain. MRI is very safe; in fact, it makes use of natural magnetic forces and has no known harmful effects. It’s important to know that MRI will not expose you to any radiation.
MRIs can provide very early detection of many conditions, so treatment can be more effective. The staff of our MRI Center is happy to assist you with any necessary billing and pre-certification needs.
Our center is staffed by Registered MRI Technologists who have extensive training in MRI Service. Images are interpreted by Board Certified Radiologists of Mid-South Imaging and Therapeutics, P.A., a group utilizing musculoskeletal fellowship-trained radiologists who have specialized training in orthopaedics.
